@smithsonianfolklife here, and we’re taking over the Smithsonian’s Instagram account this week to show you around the 2017 Smithsonian Folklife Festival. No clowning around, this year’s Festival is “intents.” ?
Our “Circus Arts” program brings the rich history and diversity of life under the Big Top to the National Mall. In addition to live performances, visitors can go behind the scenes, learn some tricks of the trade, and explore the work of circus people in America today.
