More than 6,000 performers comprising 106 teams and hailing from all over Japan are competing in the Harajuku Omotesando Genki-sai Super Yosakoi 2017 this weekend.
Here's a sample of the dances performed in front of NHK near Yoyogi Park on Saturday. The festivities continue today, when the main thoroughfare Omotesando Avenue will be closed to traffic and given over to the super-genki performers. (Mark Thompson @guchagucha photos)
