This dynamic horse statue was part of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World! It once stood on the Mausoleum at Halikarnassos, an ancient Greek city in what is now modern-day Turkey. It was part of a four-horse chariot positioned on the top of a grand stepped pyramid that crowned the Mausoleum. The entire chariot and horses would have been around 6.5 metres long, and 5 metres high – this is one of the largest fragments to survive.
