Cope’s brown treefrogs inhabit tree holes in the forest canopies of Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama and Nicaragua. Males are often heard making their low, growling call from their holes in order to entice females to breed. These frogs have large, fully webbed hands and feet which they use to glide through the air from tree to tree.
This frog is a part of a study by the @amphibianrescue and Conservation Project in Panama to better understand the influencing factors that determine the survival of frogs that are bred in human care and then released back into the wild.
