The wind chill could hit minus 100 degrees tonight atop a mountain in New Hampshire. (No, that’s not a typo.) We sent 2 reporters there this afternoon — and their eyelashes froze. “Feels like the wind is sucking your breath out of you,” wrote @jessbidgood, who visited Mount Washington with a second @ニューヨーク・タイムズ reporter and a photographer, @libbymarch. “Your lashes want to freeze together, and your eyes just ache. And we’re not at top!” But the cold didn’t stop James Loughlin of Austin, Texas. @libbymarch took this photo as James took a walk up the Mount Washington Auto Road at around 3,900 feet during a break in a SnowCoach tour. #❄️
