Huge props to @leo_houlding, Mark and Jean for their successful expedition to the Sceptre peak in Antarctica. The team skied & kited from the Union Glacier to the peak, sent in style and returned safe & sound. The peak was first climbed by the late Mugs Stump in the season of 1980 - 1981 as part of a geologic research expedition with his brother Ed from Arizona State University. Located in the Gothic Mountains at 83 degrees south, this range is very remote. Flying in was cost prohibitive and a bit soft for a hard man like Leo, so he layered on the “cave points” and got to the base on his own power. Simply the best!
