Let’s talk about social media and the influence it has on body image. I like to think that I pursue fitness in a healthy uplifting way - I eat a vegan diet through choice, workout at the gym 5-6days a week and mix cardio with weight training. I don’t over exhaust in any area, don’t starve myself and don’t deny myself any of the foods that I love. When I post pictures of my body online what you see is what you get - after having babies I show my stretch marks, back fat, belly bulge, period bloat and whatever other lovely characteristics Mother Nature has decided to bestow upon me. Yes I have fake breasts, I’ve had them for 12yrs because my nipples grew wonky at different heights and sizes so i couldn’t wear a bra, I saved up and paid for the surgery myself to correct them because I really wanted two similar shaped and sized breasts as a young lady and I’m still very happy with my decision. I then used tattoos to cover some of my pregnancy stretchmarks, not all, just the deepest and it gave me back my self confidence after having a family along with meaningful and beautiful artwork that I will cherish forever. Now for these bikini pics taken just seconds apart... I’m breathing out in the first, neutral in the second and holding my breath in in the third. These are all me right now, the only difference is my lungs but from left to right you might think it’s a shocking transformation. It’s not! It’s called breathing and that’s what you’re seeing when you look at pictures online, guilt tripping yourself about not being perfect, feeling that you need to lose weight and tone up when you look at bodies like that. If you want to change then change for you and you alone my darlings, not to meet false ideals and fake standards. The next time you see a ‘perfect’ body in a picture ask yourself if they’re breathing in or out and then cut yourself some slack and realise that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. If you need my help to lead a more fulfilling active lifestyle I’m here to make a difference my darlings. But let’s do things the right way, no cutting corners and nothing but honesty #bikini #transformation #femaleempowerment #weightloss #realtalk
