Photo by @taylorglenn // This is the confluence of the Colorado River and Little Colorado River at river mile 61.7 in Grand Canyon National Park. The Little Colorado is tinted blue by travertine, a mineral formed from calcium carbonate. It is a bit surreal to see the contrast of these waters and the desert landscape surrounding them. This point also marks the end of Marble Canyon and the beginning of the Grand Canyon. I created this panorama by ‘stitching’ several images. It’s a great way to capture such a wide scene.
