Meet Zora, the robot caregiver. While it may not look like much, this robot is at the center of an experiment in France to change care for elderly patients. When it arrived at Jouarre, a nursing facility an hour outside Paris, many patients developed an emotional attachment, treating it like a baby. With help from a nurse who oversees Zora’s controls from a laptop, the #robot can have a conversation, lead exercises and play games, offering companionship in a place where life can be lonely.
