8 lessons I’ve learnt in 2018 ? It’s been an incredible of a year, with highs & lows, successes & failures. One of the best years of my life in many ways, but one of the most challenging in others. I wouldn’t change it for the world though, and I’ve learnt numerous lessons as a result. I wanted to share them with you: 1️⃣ Oat milk is a game changer, coffee will never be the same again. 2️⃣ Mountains, nature & ocean air are better for your soul than skyscrapers ever will be. 3️⃣ Hard conversations are the ones which provide the most clarity, and they’re never as bad as you think they’ll be. 4️⃣ No matter how many amazing people are in your life, you can still experience loneliness. 5️⃣ Society has taught us a certain way of living and a well trodden path to follow, don’t be afraid to step off it and make your own way. 6️⃣ Finding a healthy relationship with technology is essential. Not replying to your emails within an hour won’t make the world implode. Just as taking one day completely offline won’t ruin your career. 7️⃣ Other people don’t always want to celebrate your successes, sometimes you’ve just got to celebrate yourself. 8️⃣ Sleep is the most underrated element of a healthy lifestyle. This year I went from 6 hours a night to 7-8 and it’s changed my life. 9️⃣ (Bonus lesson!) Training can be flexible. I used to think I had to lift weights every week to remain strong, but in 2018 I realised strength comes in various forms not just a heavy deadlift. I lift weights less than ever before but now I can do 20 jumping lunges without losing my breath, and that feels pretty strong to me ?? #lifelessons #2018reflections #2018lessons #lifequotes #zannavandijk #thesculptguide #girlgains #mindset #2019goals
