Has the weekend got you like, well, this? 😎
Harry the Hipster is our Friday mood. Harry was part of the crew from Sam and Friends, a five-minute show that aired on the local NBC affiliate station in Washington, D.C., WRC-TV. It featured a cast of hand puppets created by Jim Henson and Jane Nebel that often lip-synched to popular songs or comedy records. It aired from 1955 to 1961. (Swipe ➡️ to see more of the cast.) Harry the Hipster always spoke in slang and loved jazz. We think he would have appreciated #JazzAppreciationMonth.
