Love this brown-throated sloth at the @dallas_world_aquarium? You can help protect this species in the wild by saying no to animal photo ops on your next tropical vacation and choosing to only keep domestic animals as pets. Adored around the world because of their characteristically slow movements and adorable facial expressions, the sloth continues to grow in popularity. In some countries like Colombia, this has led to the sloth becoming an increasingly popular target for the illegal pet trade. The sloth is specially adapted to live in its rainforest home, and by admiring this species from afar you give it its best chance at not only surviving, but thriving for generations to come!

Beautiful work. And what a brilliant idea for PhotoArk to raise awareness about endangered species. You deserve all the recognition you are receiving.

One of the coolest things I saw in Costa Rica was a 3-toed sloth with a week-old baby. She was up in a tree, where sloths belong!
