Dear Nordstrom
I have honestly never been more disappointed in such a high end retailer... my favorite store is Nordstrom... but at this point, I’ve considered not ever spending money there again.
I am returning the brown Billy wear shoes I purchased. I spoke directly with the brand and they advised, your stores have always had the option to carry more in that size. So shame on your buyers... I’m personally offended for my daughter and all of the little girls like her. She wears SMOs and has Sensory Processing Disorder.
Not once in her 4 years of life, has she been “not thought of”.. Never... and to think a shopping experience at Nordstrom would be the time it happens... Those brown shoes you have as her only option are not worth the battle every morning to put on and set off a bad day or of transitions ... while other little girls can choose beautiful colors, sparkles and hearts-my daughter was given 2 choices... brown and camouflage... So many questions come to mind: -is my daughter and her needs and disabilities not important enough to deserve a choice? -did your buyers not think of girls needing options?
And finally, How dare anyone above them not think of this? Target is definitely hitting the mark on inclusivity.
I’m disappointed, I’m appalled and I’m done. There’s no reason to support a retailer who doesn’t support everyone else... As a child, my shopping memories with my mother included Nordstrom.. we shopped for dresses and shoes and hats for a special occasion and had lunch at your cafe. I grew up shopping with Nordstrom... my daughter will not know that experience partially because financially it’s not a priority for us but another reason being your approach to children like her.
It’s a first world problem in some eyes I’m sure... but honestly it is so much more than that... Do better Nordstrom... honestly.

This was the worst sale ever! I am not sure who the buyers for Nordstrom are but they should all get a pink slip. However, I do think it’s funny how most of the items were sold out when they offered a $10 gift card if you purchased online and picked up in store. When I went to the store the one thing I was looking at was sitting on the rack. As far as I’m concerned Nordstrom forgot to send catalogs to most of their loyal customers because there was nothing in them....Do Better and stop with the excuses! Nordstrom is definitely not what is use to be ? TPTB revise what you did in the late 90’s early 2000’s merchandise was ?

I have to say I have been shopping the Anniversary Sale for over 10 years and this year is the first time I have been SUPER disappointed. I shopped right when early access for us non-Icon/Ambassador level cardholders was available. The ONE cardigan that I really wanted was “purchased” and then I got the email that my order was cancelled as it could not be fulfilled. I still have items showing “getting ready” which has been almost a week, so I assume I will get the order cancelled anytime now because those items can’t be fulfilled. Truly disappointed.

And when you do order from @nordstrom they need a week or longer to ship the order. Just called customer service to find out when my 7/12 order is shipping and they said they need 7-10 days to just fulfill the order. So if you can wait 2-3 weeks then go ahead and shop online. Maybe this is just a Xmas repeat where I spend hours ordering come to find out two weeks later all my items were sold out and my order was cancelled. Sorry @nordstorms but you’ve got a problem! This doesn’t happen at @bloomingdales or @niemanmarcus!

I was also disappointed! I drove 1 hour round trip for early access, (I have a Nordstrom debit card and that does work for early access) but in all past years all we had to do is show the Nordstrom card and then we could pay any way we want! No longer! Early access must pay with Nordstrom card or no sale! I was fuming! And they weren’t allowed to hold anything for me to allow me to return and but it when sale open to all! Nordstrom was always the store with the best policies on the planet..... but NO more!!!

@kelly.j.west You most likely have an older existing Nordstrom Debit Card (it would say ‘Debit’ on the corner) that does a one-time electronic draw from your personal bank account each time you use it and gives you early access to the Anniversary Sale and earns you two points per dollar (the Retail or VISA Card earn you three points per dollar). Keep using it!! If you don’t use it for a while, it will close and cannot be re-opened, as happens with credit cards. Happy shopping! ?
