This "SALE" is an absolute joke! I cannot believe how many of my items you've cancelled!!! I checked out within 20 minutes of the sale starting and you've cancelled the majority of my items and quite frankly the things I was most excited about/needed - like ALL of my kids clothing and shoes. I know I am not alone in this, this sale was poorly planned, you clearly were not prepared for it, didn't have your site running correctly, or have your inventory counts correct. As someone who has been shopping this sale every single year for 15+ years I am in shock at how terrible you've done. This is pathetic, this is like your first attempt at a sale and it is a total fail, someone as experienced and established as Nordstrom should NOT be having this many issues. You should be ashamed and embarrassed by your utter failure. And beyond this inability to fulfill orders - let's be frank, the sale offerings overall were lackluster at best this year - the kids and baby totally sucked, so for you to then cancel what items in those sections I did find is even more frustrating. You need new buyers, you need new accountants, you need a full renovation of your anniversary sale - this sucks. I am beyond annoyed, disappointed, & frustrated. I have NEVER seen a sale at any store go so poorly.

So here it is 5 days later and my Caslon title neck sweater just like my daughter ordered is cancelled. As a 27 yr. cardholder I am mortified at the lack of respect you hold for your customers! Clearly customer service is not your priority. Level 4 customers and bloggers are your first choice. You should realize that loyal customers will shop no matter what. Our children shop at Nordstrom’s because we took them there. But now both generations are disappointed . Macy’s would never do this! Even Zara gets repeat merchandise in. The Scottsdale store has been my go to for the last 22 years, everyone knows me there. I have gone to events there. Sadly I just moved to Virginia Beach where you have closed the Norfolk store. I rely on the Internet now. Thanks for nothing. Pull it together, or your NY store will fail!

I placed an order on July 11 and July 12 and like so many customers on here, despite having been able to place my orders what I would consider early, I have already had items cancelled and many other items are still in the process of "getting ready". Now I anxiously check my recent orders list every hour, dreading the further disappointment I'm sure I will feel because you don't even recieve an email updating you on a canceled item. What's worse is I used both my personal double day points for these two days since I did A LOT of shopping, all of which will all be a total waste. ESPECIALLY if the items I looked forward to the most get canceled :( so disappointed. I shopped the sale much later last year and didn't run into issues like this at all.

So disappointed with @nordstrom anniversary sale this year. Ordered items on the morning of the very first day of the sale only to find out five days later that an item had been canceled. Upon calling customer service to see what could be done or when the item will be restocked, I was told nothing could be done. They have no clue if or when the item might be back in stock and that the only thing to do is to keep checking the website. When expressing my frustrations I was told this has impacted many other customers. How is it possible that their inventory could be this off?? So upset, and disappointed in this entire experience, and honestly plan on returning everything else I ordered.

The Anniversary Sale starts on my birthday. My mom and I went for a girls day, as we have for several years. Nothing was left. No option to order on line. And no restock. A manager happened to be there, when another associate was trying to locate items for me, and added that the Anniversary Sale is “really a benefit for card holders.” Interesting. I am a card holder. I did order early, online, many items were already sold out before my early access level. Your strategy managed to alienate people that have been going to your sale for decades.

I have been shopping the #nsale for as long as I can remember. I agree with everyone’s complaints about the sale this year. It is terrible. 1/2 of my orders haven’t even shipped and they were ordered the Friday the sale started. I ended up cancelling one out of frustration, and might end up doing that with the other ones that haven’t shipped. The disorganization this year is not only frustrating, but also not the typical experience. Seems like you saved everything for the bloggers and their followers and not the regular people.
