So, ignoring the fact that the photo on the right was after 7 months of prep & my body didn’t want to respond the way we wanted it to - when you achieve a new level (whether that’s national level or pro level), you need to level up.⁣ ⁣ My physique last year was great for what it was. I won an overall, achieved my pro card, but once I got to the pro stage… I got last place lol. You NEED to take time to grow and level up to the people you are competing against.⁣ ⁣ I know time away is hard, but you’re not going to achieve the level of success you’re fighting for if you don’t take the time away to truly improve your physique!!! A 3 month off-season is NOT going to make significant changes. You need to give your body TRUE time to not only grow, but also recover so that it will respond.⁣ ⁣ Also, on another note… if you want to level up, get used to taking lots of L’s 😂 My pro debut was definitely a reminder that just because you’re a top dog in the regional or even national level doesn’t mean anything when you step up to the pro stage.⁣ ⁣ I couldn’t be more thankful for the experience I had for my pro debut. It was not only humbling, but also a reminder that you will ALWAYS be chasing the top. Just when you reach the top, you go right back to the bottom of that next level and that’s the beauty of it all.
