Happy first night of #Hanukkah! Those are tiny Statues of Liberty.
Manfred Anson, an immigrant who escaped Nazi Germany, came to the U.S. in the 1960s. Here he amassed THOUSANDS of pieces of memorabilia of the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell and the Capitol. He used them to design a Hanukkah menorah for the centennial of the Statue of Liberty in 1986.
This is one of the first lamps cast, the one that he made for his family, which is now in our @国立アメリカ歴史博物館. Each statuette has important dates from Jewish history.
