Photo by @daisygilardini | In British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest during the salmon run, pine martens gorge themselves on leftovers from bear catches and help spread vital nutrients into the forest soil.
These cute little animals are found widely throughout North America. They’re members of the weasel family and live in mature coniferous forests where food is abundant. They’re opportunistic predators and eat rodents, insects, reptiles, fish, and berries.
