Our animal family is so much like us—they find mates, they have kids, they feed themselves and their families. I hope we can find a way to believe that they think and feel emotion; we need to treat them with empathy–which may help us to treat each other with more empathy—and find a way to ensure their future on this planet. Nature is perfection, and gives us all we need to survive. Can we treat our natural world with the respect any life-giving entity deserves, and understand that the health of ecosystems, humans, animals, and all life is inextricably linked?
