I want to state very clearly: I (obviously!) do not condone abuse of any kind, and would never, ever stand by or support a perpetrator - regardless of my relationship with them. When allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct surface, my intuition is always to believe women. This specific instance, involving a friend, has been deeply painful and uncomfortable to learn about and like so many of you, I am waiting for him to answer these allegations directly. ⁣ ⁣ I, like many of you, have suffered through sexual abuse and as you know we have made it part of our life’s work at Yoga Girl to support women healing through trauma. Our work through Yoga Girl Foundation (that we were forced to put on pause due to COVID) is centered around exactly this, and we put in countless hours to bring forth the #MeToo allegations in the yoga world, made public a while back together with The New York Times. I will never, ever support an abuser. ⁣ ⁣ I am just a person. I am no investigative entity and I am not personally in contact with anyone who has come forward with allegations. Like so many of you, I am waiting for answers and deeply hoping for a truth thats easier to navigate than what has been shared online up until now. ⁣ ⁣ Im sorry for everyone triggered by this.
