This little platinum boy is one of the babies we are working to bring to the center thru the Panda and Her Pals Project. He is currently living at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics in Novosibirsk, RU. . He is a Russian domesticated fox and part of the tame fox program originally started by Belyaev about 60+ years ago. At the ICG, the babies are mother raised and then they begin socializing those selected for Ambassador work. Students come to the farm and handle the babies and play with them. The ICG was not trying to place any of the foxes this year until we were asked by a colleague. We jumped right up and said, let’s do this!!
