Hopeful nature. That’s the theme for today’s #macromondayfun because it feels like there has been more hope in the air in recent days. After selecting photos to represent hope in nature, I find it telling that half were shot in Spring and Summer, half were shot in Fall or Winter. So, either nature is eternally optimistic (true, if you ask me), or I search harder for signs of hope when the days get shorter and colder and darker (jury’s still out on this, but all signs in the photo archives point to “true” 😉). Today’s carousel:
•
Seeds spill from a milkweed pod on a Fall day, ready to float on the wind and become next Spring’s new growth.
•
A piece of Spring grass sprouts through the remnants of Winter.
•
A frozen spot of water on a dead reed catches the light on a dreary morning.
•
A tiny plant pushes its way through thick, dry mud to begin its life in Bryce Canyon National Park.
•
A yellow flower illuminated by the setting sun in Capitol Reef National Park.
•
Dead reeds catch light on a late Winter morning.
