Moments from a hike at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO.

I’ve been getting questions about places in CO I recommend. I’m definitely not as oriented as a native but I’ll be sharing the places I’ve enjoyed thus far.

This is an easy first. There are at least a dozen trail heads and many offer a unique experience.

You want a challenging climb? Summit Green Mountain.

You want to experience red rocks and stunning views? Climb up to the Royal Arch or Flat Irons.

You want a gorgeous moderate/easy trek through pine forests? Take the Mesa Trail and any of the trails that it opens up into.

You want to experience a mix of it all with a snow melt stream? Go to Gregory Canyon.

This park does get pretty packed as it’s a 5-minute drive from downtown Boulder. I recommend you go early to get parking and so you find silence in the forests. 🌲🧝🏽‍♀️👣
