The weekend was a merry conglomeration of life in its splendor and mystery and challenge and nuance and grit. We enjoyed Korean food, dishes learned in childhood, and dishes that still warm my heart to prepare. There were long walks with plenty of zigzagging to dodge the ever present dung and reactive pets passing by including ours. I felt my heart race between emails as complicated taxes were finalized with a sigh of relief that experts were helping in the race to the finish line a.k.a. thank goodness for proficient CPAs. There were plenty of moments of missing people who are no longer in this realm and the strangeness of it all. One cannot convey such thoughts in captioned squares, you know? I felt gratitude in enormity for grace that carries us so well. I never understand it and likely never will, which is okay as it whets awe that begets wonder. An afternoon walk beckons and I can’t wait to see where our steps take us. There is plenty that is heavy that come and go, so I’ll take every drop of delight that flows in.
