Thank you @letsgo__volleyball for another amazing year. I had a conversation with a friend a few months back, and I was asking for advice on where to go with my life. He said to close my eyes and imagine what my dream day would look like. Then go do that. So I did what he said. The only problem was I couldn’t pin down a singular dream day. That’s too small of perspective. I realized it’s in variety & contrast that I find freedom, meaning, and fulfillment. Instead, I imagined a dream life, and in that, every day looks different. There’s work, there’s play, solitude, connection, hard things, simple joys.. I was reminded that quality of life can’t be determined by what we do on one day, but rather the total as a whole. Like a painting, one brush stroke of color means nothing, until you see every stroke put together to make a masterpiece. We need contradiction and depth in order to properly appreciate each end of the spectrum. There is no joy without suffering. There is no light without darkness. There is no such thing as a singular “perfect” day. But when you put all of the days together, you can find your best life. At the very least, you create something beautiful.」9月7日 4時00分
