カーリー・ウォパットさんのインスタグラム写真 - (カーリー・ウォパットInstagram)「I started off this year with the intention of playing the full @avpbeach season, which abruptly came to a halt when I injured my foot in the first tournament (AVP Miami). Although my original professional athletic plans & pursuits had to evolve, I took an exciting turn into the hybrid fitness world. AVP MBO marks my second AVP tournament for year, bringing the 2023 beach volleyball season full circle. Everything else in between - built me physically & mentally in different ways. With 9 years of professional volleyball under my belt, I was curious to see how naturally my game would come back to me. Even with months away from the court, I theorized that I would be able to transition in and out of the sport rather effortlessly, while tailoring my work in the gym appropriately. I haven’t lost any of the knowledge or experience engrained over the years, and my fitness and body intelligence is at the highest level it has ever been. The goal was to see if peak performance could be achieved in different competitive spaces, less than a week apart. I was right. It certainly wasn’t easy, and demanded a lot from me - 2 months of coordinating practices, working with coaches, filming myself, and analyzing my game on top of everything else I am already committed to. It felt overwhelming in moments. Exhausting. But, when the time came to toe the line, I dropped in to my abilities, and affirmed my self beliefs. Perhaps even unlocking a new personal level of performance in the game. Takeaway: Years of focused work in separate professional fields can eventually grant you the freedom to toggle between elite arenas. The more you compete in different spaces, the better you get at competing. There’s talent, there’s preparation, and there’s competitive fire. But the time must be served. Chapters of focus = freedom. Grateful for the opportunity to share the court with @katie_lindstrom10, and a big thank you to everyone who helped me prepare - @danwainer, @fiapogtenius, @sohoyoga, @geigercoaching. On to the next. #toetheline」8月25日 4時45分 - carlywopat
