a thought

the Knower of the thought—

not conceptually, but to catch it in the moment of experience, has been life-saving for me.

It's not just about recognizing it once and being done; it's more like years and years of meditation and mindfulness that has helped me to first disengage, then eventually establish a new, different relationship with my own mind and all the thoughts in it.
