"I had visited Minnamurra only once before for some seascape photography that didn't go as planned due to the weather. As a result, I decided to scout the area for potential compositions and planned to return later when the conditions would be more favourable. After scouting for a while, I came across these beautiful rock formations that I thought would look amazing in astrophotography. With that, I marked the position and waited for the right moment. I didn't have to wait too long because about a week later, the conditions lined up perfectly for astrophotography, and it was also the ideal opportunity to use my star tracker to track the night sky. I made the trip back to Minnamurra and returned to the location I had scouted a week earlier. I set up my Z 7II to capture the foreground using 2-minute exposures to collect as much light and detail as possible. Then, I proceeded to set up my tracker and began tracking the sky. This was the main reason I switched to the Z 7II, as I wanted to be able to use the extended shutter capabilities in conjunction with the tracker to take long exposures of the night sky. I must say that this combination, along with focusing to infinity, is exactly what I needed for my astrophotography workflow."
