#wwbsiwishlist4thround finalist @peterkurta25 about ballet , tears and all in between : Wow. Thank you all for helping me get to the last round. You guys are awesome. In regards to my summer, there has been an unexpected change. A few days ago I did a last minute audition for Tulsa Ballet, and I was offered a second company position for their 2014/2015 season! Tulsa Ballet has always been a company I've wanted to be in due to their fantastic repertoire and high caliber dancing. So instead of going to Ballet Austin's summer, I will be starting my proffesional career with Tulsa at the beginning of July. At this moment, it still feels very unreal. I was not expecting the result of the audition at all, but I am extremely grateful and happy that I'm finally starting a working dance career. If you remember my first post was about about hard work and perseverance. That is what got me to this position. If I had given up after my surgeries, or stopped because people said I wasn't good enough, I would never know the meaning of hard work. I came to San Diego to train with a fantastic teacher because I was far behind the level I should have been at. Everything that I've done, the surgeries, the moving, and the work, has all paid off. However, this last part is important for everyone. Just because you get into a company, that doesn't mean you're done working, learning and improving. I still have much to learn and many things I want to work on. But now I can say that what I've done up to this point was worth it. Also, Ballet is an Art. We create art with our bodies, and we create a story, a feeling or a image. Dance is much more than technique. Remember that you are an artist, no matter what level you're at. The feeling of creating movement, of performing and working with others is the best feeling in the world. So don't give up just because your body isn't perfect. And no matter what you end up doing, know you tried your absolute hardest, and it will be worth it. Thank you again for helping me get to this point. You guys are the best.
