I went out for a drive this afternoon in search of owl nests that I've been trying to track down with a desperate effort. As I was making my way up a dirt road, I saw a silhouette slip into the river. Within one second I knew it was a grizzly bear. I watched as he swam across the river and then proceeded to run across the sand bar into the willows. I believe this one of 399's cubs, who she should have just kicked out after 2 years.
