Although this plane never went into production because of botched business decisions, I would argue that it was one of aviation engineer Burt Rutan's most magnificent designs. Although I could never afford to buy one of these planes, I confess that I had a few fantasies about stealing the plane out of the Scaled Composites' hangar in the middle of the night and flying it until it either ran out of fuel or the feds caught up with me and threw me in the slammer. Burt did not make too many mistakes with this design. As Jimmy Buffett said in one of his songs: "there'll never be any doubt
