朝から霧が出て、到着したサンティアゴ島は黒く濡れていました。2頭のアシカが岩の上の潮溜まりで子供達を遊ばせています。こういう光景は人間もアシカも同じ。午後はラビダ島へ移動して赤い砂浜に裸足で上陸。波打ち際の美しさに見とれました。紺碧の海から打ち寄せる波は、赤い砂浜の上でひときわ白く波立ちます。波打ち際は生命のゆりかごのようだと感じました。

It had been foggy since the morning, so when we arrived at Santiago Island, it looked all wet and black. I saw two sea lions looking after their babies playing in a rockpool. I guess this kind of scene happens with both humans and seals. In the afternoon, we went to Rábida Island and landed on a red sandy beach. I was fascinated by the great beauty of this beach. The waves from the deep blue sea could be seen breaking onto the red sand, erupting into dazzlingly white foam. This beautiful beach felt like a cradle for life.
