So to be honest, it’s NEVER been easy for me to talk about the hard stuff. ⠀

But is it worth it?

Absolutely. ✨

To reflect my natural +optimistic character, I try my best to have my social media outlets capture this essence. This goes for the great experiences and the not-so-great experience. In fact, while the latter is harder to share, I think there are far more lessons to be gained. ⠀

I’ll give you an example: when things are going great in our lives, it is MUCH easier to be in a good mood and reflect kindness in the things you do. ⠀
⠀

But when things aren’t going so great, you are required to put that much effort in seeing things in a positive perspective, one that may facilitate growth and nurturing love. ⠀

I believe that all challenges are hardships have their purpose. For me, this has been evident in many areas of my life.

Losing my health to anorexia has made me appreciate my skin more than ever.
⠀
Losing my brother has made me cherish the relationships I have with greater depth
⠀
Losing opportunities and facing failure has shown me what self-love truly looks like:

unconditional love, through all the highs + the lows ?
⠀
