My #SustainableSwap of the week! ? Tag a friend who needs a reusable coffee cup ☕️ In the US alone around 16 billion disposable coffee cups end up in landfill every year. When you throw your cup “away” it doesn’t disappear. It doesn’t biodegrade, in fact it can take hundreds of years to do that. Instead, it just exists somewhere else on the planet. If you have one disposable coffee cup a day, that’s 23 pounds of cups in a whole year ending up in landfill (or worse, ending up in nature/the oceans and harming wildlife) ? On the beaches in Sri Lanka I saw lots of washed up coffee cups ? So what can we do to help? ? 1️⃣ Purchase a reusable coffee cup.
