What does that kind of secret-code word, OBOR, means? One Belt, one Road ... a small diminutive to evoke the vast project launched by China in 2013: New Silk Roads or One Belt, One road.
The Silk Road recalls in the collective unconscious, a mythical road of discoveries and commercial but also cultural exchanges. There, the loaded caravans used to brave all the dangers for years of an endless journey. It was another era.
As a photographer, I was able sometimes to capture the spirit of this past road.
Today, China's ambition is to strengthen multiple trade links with the Middle-East, Africa, and Europe by sea and land.
Between today's world and yesterday's memories, I want to share with you a series of these silk routes.
