1月も下旬となり、ますます寒さが厳しくなるこの頃。
八芳園の庭園には、「白梅」と「紅梅」の紅白の梅の花が咲き揃いました。

雪が降るような寒さの中、他のどんな花より早く咲く梅。
その生命力の強さから、気高さと長寿の象徴ともいわれています。
