Does it even count as a trip if you don't put it on Instagram?
This view of Swift Current Lake in Glacier National Park is in our @smithsonianarchives. It's from a collection of photos and papers assembled by George P. Merrill, who was a curator at the U.S. National Museum, where he worked from 1881 to 1929.
Merrill was a historian of North American geology, as well as a pioneer in the study of using stone for building purposes and in the study of the process of rock weathering.

Yes of course it can. Everywhere I’ve been in the world I’ve seen people so busy taking pictures and posting stuff that they don’t actually take the time to look at whats in front of them. So stop, put the phone down for five minutes and take time to really look, understand and remember. Then post if you want to.

No it is your trip your experience. Your ability to relive n share adventures with people you physically meet. I think social connections allow us to revival in the wonder of humanity. Which happens when we touch see and share with each other directly. You give me the opportunity to recall my wonder.

Yes it does. Instagram be damned, travel can be wonderful when you are actually enjoying it, not just recording it for posterity.
