Started in 2013, BTLT offers weekend courses in everything from cupping (the tasting and scoring of coffee beans), latte art, roasting, tasting skills and, of course, brewing both espresso and pour-over coffee. Honestly, I hope they do a good job here. I love love love Japan, but only drink pour-over when I am there (and pour-over is a great Japanese thing, I have my own Hario gear at home!)... but I despair of getting good cappuccino or latte in Japan. Hint: despite the poor social behaviour of some Aussies in Japan, I would suggest hiring some Aussie baristas as teachers here, some of the best coffee in the world is made in Australia.
