DIGESTION BABY!

How often are you bloated & miserable after eating?
.
Listen, you could be eating the most nutrient dense foods but if your body isn’t absorbing the nutrients what’s the dang point?!
.
A few quick ways to improve your DIGESTION.
.
✅STOP eating antacids like candy. Every so often they are great..but they drastically interfere with digestion. They work by neutralizing the acid in the stomach, which ends up blocking your extraction of NUTRIENTS. ➖If you eat antacids often, try drinking 2 Ounces of aloe vera juice instead for a natural remedy.

✅Drinking water during or after eating dilutes stomach acid. Best to drink BEFORE the meal or wait an hour after eating to hydrate.

✅Slow down. Pay attention. Stop quickly inhaling that yumminess & give your body time to produce enough stomach acid to break down food properly. When you are scrolling or sidetracked you aren’t taking in the smells & tastes..which aid your body in digesting. (Smart bod we got right?)

✅Boost stomach acid by adding a squeeze of lemon or lime over food or drinking 2tbsp apple cider vinegar/water with each meal.

✅Cut artificial sweeteners. They are known to decrease healthy gut bacteria, which is important for healthy digestion.

✅Eat more raw fruits & veggies. They are loaded with digestive enzymes.

✌🏽Remember, if you are constantly feeling bloated & like you are not properly digesting that food..you don’t just have to suffer & grab Tums after eating. That won’t help you get all the proper nutrients you need from your food. So think ahead & try out a few of these tips!
