REST DAYS! ⁣
It doesn't matter how much you love your training, taking time for rest and recovery is SO important. ⁣
My programs will always include a day of rest. This is a day where you take a break from your training and give your immune system and your muscles time to recover and repair themselves. This does NOT mean you have to lie on a couch and stay still all day, that's not possible for most of us anyway. 😅 You can still be active - just no resistance workouts or LISS. ⁣

When you do resistance style training (like the resistance workouts in my BBG program), you create micro-tears in your muscles. This is actually a good thing and these micro-tears are what allows your muscles to grow. But you need to give your muscles time to actually recover, heal and repair themselves from the stress that you put them under during your training in order for them to grow. That's also why my resistance workouts focus on different muscle groups for each session, it ensures that you don't overtrain them and they have time to recover. ⁣

So, even if you would LOVE to train everyday, I want you to remember that REST is actually just as important as your training when you're trying to stay fit, strong and healthy. Do NOT underestimate the importance of a rest day!⁣
