Meet Mabu, a giant armadillo @zoobrasilia. The size of this species is astounding - they can weigh nearly 60 lbs! Native to South America, these giants are largely nocturnal, and stick to areas with large termite populations - their predominant source of food. To feast on thousands of the tiny insects at a time, they let their eight-inch claws do the demo work, and balance on their hind legs and tail in order to reach even higher into tall termite mounds.
