The relationship has grown and deepened. Several MOUs and agreements were signed on this visit, and there are many opportunities for our peoples and companies to do more together. The green and digital economies were frequently discussed with government and business leaders. This was also the first time ASEAN and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC — comprising 6 member countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE) met formally. It happened amidst unprecedented geo-political and geo-economic uncertainty. Countries don’t have identical positions on these issues, but where there is consensus, we will meet in the middle and work together.
