Video One in a Four Part Series: Forearm balance is harder than it looks. I fell over every day of nearly two years before I found the balance. With so many variations it’s a lifelong practice. This press-up into Pinchamayurasana with straight legs is the first in a four part video series on the insanely challenging posture called Karandavasana, the mighty Himalyanan duck from the Ashtanga Yoga Second Series. To get this complete sequence you have to go up in Pinchamayurasana, take the lotus (part one which this video shows), then lower down (watch out for video two later today), come back up (guest appearance by my friend @ajaytokas who rocks it out posted today or tomorrow) and finally jump back directly from the posture to Chaturanga Dandasana (video four at the end).
