First of all, thank you to everyone who has voted for me and gotten me this far! It means so much and is so very encouraging. For me this summer is very important! I am beginning to make the transition out of training and into a professional career. I am still unsure where I will end up next year, and am working with a couple options, but the new changes (even though they're stressful) are also very exciting.
Personally, I see dancing as such a pure and beautiful art form. It never ceases to amaze me how people can go on stage and pour their heart open for the audience. It serves as an escape for daily life for each one of us to take whatever problems we are dealing with and express them through movement. It is this that keeps me sane from day to day. Whenever I struggle with something, these problems disappear once I walk into class or onto the stage. When we dance, we can not only focus on strengthening our technique and training, but we can undertake a whole new character that creates a world outside our own.
This video is from one of my favorite parts of Giselle. I hope that one day I will be fortunate enough perform this as a professional. Thank you all again for helping me! No matter who wins it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this :) Remember ! 1 like = 1 vote!! ?
