Here is that black bear I encountered yesterday! I was driving down the road when I saw his head peeping out from behind a fallen log. I spent over an hour with him and the best part is no one else was there for the first 30 minutes, so I had him all to myself! Also, this black bear experience was a lot more peaceful than that viral video of the mother and cubs running across the bridge in northern Yellowstone the other day. To clear the air, all the media has said the mother was charging the tourists, which is totally false. I'm not defending the tourists on the bridge, but the mother was confused and trying to keep track of all of her cubs as she tried to navigate all the people and get into the forest. So watch or rewatch that video and you will see she doesn't charge anyone!
