This handsome fellow, a spotjaw blenny, is peering out at one of our researchers conducting fish surveys in Honduras. Surveying fish species on coral reefs is an important part of evaluating overall ecosystem health. This shy species is taking refuge in a mountainous star coral, a species currently protected by international treaties.
