#regram from @nytarchives: This certainly isn't the kind of foot traffic New Yorkers are used to seeing on city streets. But in November 1986, @ニューヨーク・タイムズ photographer Neal Boenzi captured these #Rockettes escorting a group of animals — including a camel and donkey — to @radiocitymusichall. It seems as if the dancers realized that strolling through Midtown Manhattan with large animals is no walk in the park. But the 4-legged visitors were essential: They were in NYC to take part in the annual Radio City Music Hall #ChristmasSpectacular. A couple of weeks later, @ニューヨーク・タイムズ wrote about their visit. “Pandemonium paid a visit backstage yesterday at Radio City Music Hall. George, a camel, stepped on the foot of a Rockette; 6 sheep came off the elevator as 3 kings bearing gifts got on; human Christmas trees bumped into 8 maids-a-milking at the water cooler, and an elf came down with the flu.”
