サンタ・クルス島に帰ってくると、ガラパゴスの船旅も一巡。最後に立ち寄ったノース・セイモア島は、鳥たちの島でした。人が近寄っても怖がらない、見知らぬ生物の悪意を疑わない態度は、新鮮な驚きです。何百万年という歳月をかけて火山は島を生み、生物は進化し、大地や水、植物や動物に最適な張りが生まれたのでしょう。
さて「MUJI GALAPAGOS」は9月中旬より、旅をたどり直すWebsiteにリニューアルします。その頃にぜひ再びお会いしましょう。

Our return to Santa Cruz Island completed our ship cruise round the Galápagos. The last island we visited, the North Seymour Island was a bird island. It was a refreshing and astonishing experience to see birds that were not scared of humans, even we got quite close to them. They harbored no suspicion at all against us as unknown creatures. These islands have been created by volcanic activity over millions of years. Living creatures have evolved over time, creating a perfect balance between the land, the water, the flora and fauna.
Muji Galápagos will be revamped into a new website in the middle of September, which will retrace through our journey around the Galápagos Islands. We hope to see you then!
