I always thought my gold medal would be in ice skating, but I’m thrilled with the way life turned out. ⛸⛸ Last month I was honored by the North American Travel Journalist Association (NATJA) and awarded several medals. Not only did I receive an HM ?for my travel tips and advice article on Salta, Argentina, a silver ?for my story about the Andes, but I was awarded the GOLD MEDAL - ?- for my travel blog CleverDever Wherever!

I started the blog in 2015 to share my love of travel as well as my experiences so that I could help make planning other people’s trips a little bit easier.

I still feel like I started writing and taking pictures yesterday. But it’s amazing what can happen when you study, when you endeavor to learn and improve, and you keep your head down and do the work every single day. In many ways I’m still shocked that my travel blog was picked as BEST of the YEAR (?!?). And, truthfully there are many days when I feel like I should quit.

Then there are days like this when I realize I’m on the right path and the work I do matters. Thank you to everybody who has read my blog over the years, has given me feedback and has traveled along with me.
