I’m in Hawaii right now, showing my friends some of my favorite things about Oahu.
Though there are many people here, and it does seem a little touristy, the @polynesianculturalctr is worth your time. This place on the NE shore of the island gives you the opportunity to understand the different cultures of Polynesia from New Zealand to Rapa Nui and how thousands of miles of water unite them.
In the middle of the day there is a canoe celebration with members of different nations rowing out to share what makes their island unique.
This is the beginning where the Goddess Pèle brings the fire to create the land they each call home.
If you are in Oahu for more than a few days, I recommend a visit to more fully grasp the cultures of the Pacific.

I am so stinking jealous! My bestie took me 2 years ago for 20 days celebrating our 50th birthdays!! And 3 islands. She had lived there for 16 years. She returned back to Bama 3 years ago.
So we did the usual tourist things, & we did things she did when she lived in Honolulu.... we went to 2 multimillion homes! Wow! My favorite 1) Drink- Lava Flow!!! Yummy!!! 2) The North Shore! Love!! 3) Maui- gorgeous! Art stores at night was cool. 4) Pearl Harbor 5) Everything on the island of Kauai!!! Have Fun!!!! Drink a Lava Flow for me!!!' 🏖🏝🌊💙😎

Aloha Juliana! Beautiful photo!!! I love Hawaii! My cousin and his family live in Honolulu. Yes I have, twice. I'd love to live in Hawaii. I love being in nature. Hiking and Cycling! My next trip to Hawaii is Kauai next June. I'm so excited!😊

Love Hawaii. Kauai is my favorite island. If you like hiking you must check out Kalalau trail. A must see is Waimea Canyon. Hanalei is a cute town. Took surfing lessons and the view of the beach and mountains was absolutely beautiful.

I was lucky enough to have been stationed on the Ewa Beach side of the Oahu twice in the Navy. Also visited the Big Island, Maui & Kauai. Kauai was my favorite but dream of those islands every day here in Charlotte!❤️❤️❤️

I loved Oahu! One of my favorite things was walking the beach or watching surfers on the North Shore. Also stopped at a fruit stand on the side of the road and had the best mango of my life! Also so many great breweries.

@cleverdeverwherever both! It's our first visit so we chose the sunny side for the first 5 days and the rainy said for the rest of our trip. We're across the street from Kahalu'u Beach Park right now and it's 💯
