Ever since the earliest recorded times, Mount Fuji has been important in Japanese culture – not only the largest physical feature in the Japanese islands, Mount Fuji was also considered a deity 🗻🏞 Hokusai created a series of landscape prints depicting the mountain in different seasons and from different locations, titled ‘Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji’. Produced in just two years, it is considered the artist’s masterpiece work – these prints are all part of the series.
